Bus Stops for WRW Bus Trips

For those joining a WRW Bus Trips,
We have our standard pick up (and drop off) Bus Stops:

  • Starting 8am (and finishing after midday) at Akau Tangi Stadium, Kilbirnie
  • 8:10 Wellington Railway Station
  • 8:20 Ngauranga Gorge, Hutt Road.

If you are new to Wellington, and have not been on a WRW Bus Trip, where exactly are these bus stops?
My apologies for not providing this information on the website sooner.

Suggestion 1

If you are new to Wellington, and have never been on a WRW Bus Trip,
Join the bus at Akau Tangi Stadium before 8am.
The bus will make the standard stops, and you will learn the locations, for next time.

Suggestion 2

Getting to Akau Tangi in time, may not be convenient for everyone.
On a Sunday club day, find out who is also using that bus stop and ask for assistance.

Bus Stop Locations

If neither of the suggestions are helpful, here are the locations of the bus stops.

Akau Tangi Sports Stadium – 8am

72 Kemp Street, Kilbirnie, Wellington

Wellington Railway Station – 8:10am

From Akau Tangi, the bus enters the Railway Station from Waterloo Quay.
The Bus platforms are adjacent to the train platforms on the harbour side (east side).
The bus leaves the Railway station at 8:10am.

Ngauranga, Hutt Road – 8:20am

The last bus stop before the destination is the last Ngauranga Gorge/ Hutt Road bus stop heading north,
before the lights to go to Centennial Highway and State Highway 1.
The bus stop is number 3262.
The bus leaves Ngauranga/ Hutt Road at 8:20am to go to our Bus Trip destination.

And these are all the Bus stops.
The return trip stops off at these bus stops in reverse order.
The plan is to get back to Akau Tangi by about noon, but plan for a later return trip.
